Sources of Personal Information: We collect information directly from you (when creating an account, subscribing, or placing an order), automatically through cookies and device technologies, from our technology service providers, and from business or marketing partners where you have consented to such sharing.
2. How We Use Your Personal Information & Consent
We identify the purposes for which we collect personal information at or before the time of collection, and we use it only for those purposes or as otherwise permitted or required by law:
- Provide, Tailor, and Improve Services: Processing payments, fulfilling orders, managing account credentials, arranging shipping across Canada, processing returns and exchanges, enabling product reviews, and personalizing product and style recommendations.
- Marketing and Advertising: Sending commercial electronic messages by email or SMS only with your express or implied consent, as required by CASL, and displaying tailored online advertisements based on your shopping activity.
- Security and Fraud Prevention: Authenticating user accounts, securing checkout sessions, detecting and investigating fraudulent or illegal activity, and protecting the safety of our customers and systems.
- Customer Communication: Delivering responsive support, providing order status updates, and maintaining our business relationship with you.
- Legal Compliance: Complying with applicable Canadian laws, responding to lawful requests from government authorities, participating in legal proceedings, and enforcing our site policies.
Withdrawing Consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide certain Services to you (for example, processing an order). Every commercial email we send includes an unsubscribe mechanism, and unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days, in accordance with CASL.
3. Disclosure of Personal Information & Shopify Relationship
We disclose personal information to third parties for legitimate operational purposes, including service providers (IT management, payment processors, analytics, customer support, and Canadian and international shipping partners), business marketing partners, affiliated corporate entities, or in connection with business transactions such as mergers or asset sales. We require our service providers, by contract, to protect your personal information with safeguards comparable to our own and to use it only for the purposes we specify. We do not sell your personal information.
Relationship with Shopify: Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., a Canadian company headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. Shopify collects and processes personal information regarding your access to and use of the Services to support our storefront and provide enhanced e-commerce features. Shopify may process information obtained across multiple merchants to improve its services. For details on how Shopify manages data, review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.
4. Your Privacy Rights & Choices
Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right of Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you and information about how it has been used and disclosed.
- Right to Correction: Challenge the accuracy and completeness of your personal information and have it amended as appropriate.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
- Right to Deletion / De-indexation (Quebec residents): Request that we cease disseminating your personal information or delete it where its use is no longer necessary or permitted.
- Right to Data Portability (Quebec residents): Request a copy of computerized personal information you provided, in a structured, commonly used technological format.
- Marketing Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from commercial emails or SMS messages at any time via the unsubscribe link or instructions included in every message.
To exercise any of these rights, email our Privacy Officer at info@lennox-carter.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days, as required by law, and may need to verify your identity before doing so. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to power our store, remember your preferences, analyze site performance, and deliver relevant advertising. Where required by law, we obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies, and any technology that identifies, locates, or profiles you is turned off by default until you opt in. You can manage your preferences through our cookie banner or your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality. We also honour browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser or device.
6. Security, Retention & International Data Transfers
Security & Retention: We protect personal information with physical, organizational, and technological safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity. However, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes identified in this policy, maintain your account, or meet legal and tax record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely destroyed or anonymized.
Breach Notification: In the event of a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (and, where applicable, provincial regulators) as required by law.
Minors' Privacy: Our Services are intended for individuals who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
International Transfers: As our operating company is based in the United Kingdom and some of our service providers operate outside Canada (including in the United States), your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in jurisdictions outside Canada.
